Wow this year was nuts.
Well for me it was pretty random. I’ll remember this as the year of adventure, the one that I took off before I tried to focus on my profession. And in summation, it was completely worth it.
Big year for this comic too! It was the first time I tried to so something of regular updates (at very least have something up once a month…). I relieved my webmaster of most of the updating duties (I’m still having trouble with the mechanics and database work). And the wordpress/comicpress layout! Huzzah! Also the internet published thing
super goodie! The nicest part was making this a sisterly project. She will be posting more often once she has time and all.
But I am very thankful for all the experiences this year and the friends I’ve made. I really do feel that each month I have grown as a person, as have we all. Thank you for those who have stuck by me through the uncertainty and confusion.
Anyway! so the fun stuff. I’m on season 3 of Lost. It’s the perfect way for me to pass the time while drawing for hours at a time. I doubt I will make it in time for season 6 but whatever! if I go slow enough I’ll be able to finish it on my own time and still be able to enjoy the tail end with my friends. Here is a preview I won’t even watch to avoid spoilers. In all of my plane travel I was finally awake on one of the flights to actually watch 500 days of Summer and let me tell you, it was totally worth it (not sleeping on a red eye that is). I love those two actors and even though the movie was very stylized, it was actually a very accurate depiction of an unbalanced relationship. Other than it being an endless plug for The Smiths, I liked it. I also saw Ghostbusters for the first time in my life which is funny, sad, and great. I finally know where this line comes from. I even saw Zombieland before this movie. And finally I have fallen in love with Lady Gaga and all of her insanity. I swear this was playing in my head all christmas:
I will now leave you with some videos I enjoyed most this 2009
Happy thanksgiving!
I know just what you need!
Zoe Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt in an awesome reference video from 500 days of summer.
And this caught me so off guard while I was at work
