Last night I watched the season premieres of Dollhouse and Big Bang Theory, both are shows I haven’t indulged in for some time so it was quite nice to encounter them again.
Dollhouse is taking a turn for the introspective. This episode opened with the need to put everyone in their place and question the morality each one has. Defining a ‘person’, ‘human’, ‘living’, and ‘dead’ will be the keys to this new season it seems. I can’t stand the choices they are making with Echo’s character though. It’s getting rather ridiculous. I do enjoy the work they are doing with the doctor and Topher, not just because I’m in love with Topher, but because it gives the perspective of the creation questioning a flawed god. I’m sure we all have those moments in our lives that we wish to do the same. It likes the episode of Futurama with Bender in space, how quickly the tables turn!
For Big Bang Theory, wow…um what? The reason I love this show is because of Sheldon. I think he is amazing and if I can understand his awesome rants, I credit myself with nerd points. I also attribute Jim Parsons to being the only good part of Garden State (he was the knight). As a researcher, its somewhat sad that I know of some studies that are going on that don’t care about credibility and publish anyway. They see it as a way to let people in future write papers disproving theories long after the initial authors are past prime and have collected the rewards. ANYWAY enough with that rant. Dear Penny, I understand that your actions are whimsical and something akin to ridiculous, but I’m waiting for the explanation of…why now? I do enjoy when they get paint on the couch Leonard’s response is: “We? No, no, no. You had your chance to be ‘we’ for like a year and a half now. Right now, you are you and you are screwed.” I also have to watch ep 2 because it is out on the internet…channels I find, according to the official site ep 3 is up too. SO BEHIND.
Going to see Sabrina Stone tonight. She really makes me wanna hug the world and own a bunny again.
